The ONS Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings for 2009 is available. Wages in the public sector grew by 3.1%, and in the private sector they went up by 1%. Overall, the gender pay gap slightly widened in the private sector and slightly narrowed in the public. The age pay gap stayed about the same.
